Accessibility statement
MByAy! is for everyone, including people with disabilities.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard most often used to measure accessibility under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
What we've done
- The whole site works with a keyboard, including the school map, the career planner, and all forms. A "Skip to main content" link is the first thing on every page.
- Pages, headings, buttons, and form fields are labeled for screen readers, and updates like search results and saved changes are announced.
- Text and buttons meet WCAG color contrast requirements in both light and dark mode.
- The map has a state drop-down list, so no one has to click on a map to find schools.
- The site follows your device's settings for dark mode and reduced motion, and you can zoom up to 200% or more.
- The Accessibility button at the top of every page lets you change text size, color theme, contrast, font, link underlines, animations, and the focus outline, and turn on Read aloud to hear pages read to you using your device's built-in voice. Read aloud works alongside screen readers such as JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver; it doesn't replace them. Your choices are remembered on this device.
Known limitations
- Links to other websites, such as schools, scholarships, and government sites, are run by those organizations and may not meet the same standards.
- Career pathways and feedback are written by AI. If anything is unclear, contact us and a person will help.
